Administrative Staff

Carl J. Bonnett, MD

Medical Director / Founder

Dr. Bonnett is the founder and Medical Director of Klarisana. He is an ABEM certified emergency physician. He trained at the Denver Health Medical Center Residency in Emergency Medicine and also completed a fellowship in EMS/Disaster Medicine at the same institution. He is also served over twenty years in the in the Army National Guard (LTC-ret) and served on four overseas deployments in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. He received the Combat Medical Badge while deployed to Afghanistan with the 41st Brigade Combat Team in 2007. Dr. Bonnett has significant clinical experience with the use of ketamine in the emergency department and forward deployed environments. He is one of the leading physicians in the US in the use of Ketamine for Non-Anesthetic Indications (KNAI). Dr. Bonnett is also one of the founding members of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians (ASKP.org) and currently serves as the organization's Treasurer.

Gerson Barahona

Director of Operations

Gerson oversees the operational needs of Klarisana. He also plays a pivotal role in our long range planning with regards to business development and the opening of future Klarisana centers. Gerson joined the Klarisana team shortly after we opened and has been instrumental in helping the organization navigate the uncharted waters of establishing a ketamine treatment center. Gerson has served almost two decades in church ministry and leadership. Before joining Klarisana he operated a successful hearing aid business with his family for over ten years. Gerson is a Certified Administrator in Practice Management.

Jessica Barahona

Patient Care Manager

Jessica is responsible to answer questions, address concerns, educating about the treatments offered, and guiding one in seeking aid to meet their need. She coordinates and manages the patient intake process, ensuring all patients experience the best care before, during, and after their treatment with Klarisana. She ensures patients are provided all information necessary to begin treatment, understands their medical options and facilitates the treatment process with Klarisana.

Alyssa Soto

Administrative Supervisor

Alyssa is responsible for the day to day operation of Klarisana. She oversees scheduling, billing, and operational coordination between our centers. She brings many years of experience in medical practice administration and is truly the glue that holds Klarisana together. Alyssa holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Bethesda School of Ministry.

Josue Ruiz

Business Development Executive

Josue leads our clinician outreach program and leads our business development program in Latin American. He has many years experience in medical sales and the hearing aid industry. He is also very active with our non-profit sister company, Klarisana Outreach, and is helping to coordinate our efforts with other non-profits as well as helping us to acquire grant funding.

Aleksandra Aguirre

Administrative Assistant / Medic

Aleksandra works closely with Alyssa to coordinate scheduling at the Klarisana centers, coordinate follow up with patients' primary care providers, and help to ensure a smooth coordination of care between our campuses.

Laura Davila

Austin Administrative Coordinator

Laura handles administrative operations in our Austin clinic. She is a Houston, Texas native and a recent graduate from Texas State University. Her studies included a focus in Psychology and Biology. Laura’s motivation comes from a passion to help others be their best versions of themselves. She has always been interested in the use of innovative and forward-leaning therapies in mental health so Klarisana is a natural fit. In Laura’s free time she enjoys spending time outdoors and playing with her 2 dogs, Jaxon and Paisley.

Dr. John Huber, PhD

Psychologist

Dr. John Huber is an advisor to Klarisana. He is also the Chairman for Mainstream Mental Health, a non-profit organization that brings lasting and positive change to the lives of individuals that suffer from mental health issues. A mental health professional for over twenty years, Dr. Huber is a Clinical Forensic Psychologist, and he is a practitioner with privileges at two long term acute care hospitals. Dr. Huber has appeared on over three hundred top tier radio shows (NBC Radio, CBS, Fox News Radio) and thirty national television programs (ABC, NBC, Spectrum News). Dr. Huber is Law Newz’s go to Clinical psychologist and appears regularly on America Trends National Television show. In addition Dr. Huber is the host of “Mainstream Mental Health Radio” which is heard nationwide and features interviews with today’s top mental health professionals.

Dr. Anette Scott MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. Scott is a member of the Klarisana Medical Advisory Board and brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization. She has long been a proponent of incorporating integrative medicine into her psychiatry practice and approaches psychiatry in a refreshingly holistic fashion. Dr. Scott has a number of patients who have received ketamine therapy and has a very solid grasp of how to integrate ketamine therapy with more traditional psychiatric treatment modalities.

Zackery A. Tedder, MA

Licensed Psychological Associate

Zack is a subject matter expert in the field of addiction and has a special interest in the use of ketamine along with psychotherapy to treat addictions. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a veteran as he joined the United States Navy right out of high school. After leaving the military, he moved to the Midwest, back to California, and then to Central Texas. After arriving in Texas, he attended Texas State University, where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology in 2009 and his Health Psychology Master’s degree in 2012. Zack has consulted with many different state and federal agencies, along with families from all socioeconomic backgrounds. His notable areas of expertise include: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Schizophrenia and Other Psychotic Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, Learning Disorders, complications related to early childhood trauma, and Behavioral Disorders. He is a strong advocate for mental health to Texas state government officials, educators, and members of the community.
